Apparently my taste in home-furnishings is foreign and/or antiquated. I thumped all over the northeast side of town looking for a standing coat rack for my room to almost no avail. I stopped at Wal-Mart, Staples, K-Mart, Lowe's (met some friends from church, and bantered a bit), Rhodes Furniture, and Sears, coming up absolutely empty. Finally, I tried Pier One Imports, and found a cast iron standing coat rack ... for $100. Oh well, i try again some other time.

I came back home, had a dish of consoling ice cream, and then moved the tall bookshelf at the end of the hallway into what will be the library sub-room. I plan to do the same with the low, long bookshelf in the dining room, and i'll take a picture of it for you when its done.
