I've got a cellphone! The customer service agent that has been working with us told us that the easiest way to take care of the delay would be to go ahead and sign the contract and get me a phone with a temporary number. After we did this, we started a service ticket to get the number switched over to our former landline number. So I am the last one in my family to finally go wireless. It's good to not be tied down. I don't even know my own temporary number, though I have it written down in my wallet.
